About Evervault Evervault provides online card payment infrastructure primarily to companies building card payments into their products, as well as to sophisticated merchants who manage payment routing in-house. Best-in-class companies like Ramp, Overwolf, and Modern Treasury build their products on top of Evervault.
Beyond that, we are extending our core encryption technology to secure sensitive data for use cases outside of card payments, including banking, healthcare, identity, crypto, and more. Our mission is to become the clearinghouse for sensitive data, so companies can move data freely between systems without the compliance and security overhead.
The Role Traditional BDR tactics are broken. We need someone who can identify and engage CTOs, CPOs, VPs of ProdEng and founders at 100-5,000 person companies during their moments of genuine need - not with generic cold emails, but through strategic timing and thoughtful outreach.

Making inroads into target accounts via strategic stakeholder mapping, cold calling, in person events, and email/socials to our target personas
Becoming an SME in the card payments domain
What You'll Do
Signal-Based Prospecting: Track the moments that create a need for card infrastructure, such as a company adding a second PSP, expanding into new geographies, launching card issuing or embedded payments, hiring its first payments engineer or compliance lead, or facing a PCI DSS audit or renewal.
Payments-Led Research: Map a target account's current payment stack (processors, vault, checkout, 3DS provider) and pinpoint where they're likely feeling pain, whether that's PCI scope weighing on engineering, vendor lock-in with a single processor, declining authorization rates, or rising fraud and chargeback exposure.
Relevant Outreach: Engage CTOs, CPOs, VPs of Product and Engineering, and founders through calls, email, LinkedIn, and warm intros, with messaging tied to outcomes they care about: reducing PCI compliance burden, owning card data to route freely across processors, lifting auth rates with network tokens and card account updater, and bringing down fraud and chargebacks with 3DS.
Cold Calling: Run consistent call blocks into target accounts to start conversations with technical buyers and learn how they handle card data today.
Domain Expertise: Build a working knowledge of card payments, including tokenization, payment orchestration, network tokens, 3DS, PCI DSS v4.0, and the card network rules on disputes, so you can hold credible first conversations with technical executives.
Community and Events: Build relationships in fintech, payments, and founder/CTO communities, and help turn in-person events and meetups into pipeline in target markets.
Partner-Sourced Pipeline: Work with VCs, PSPs, consultants, and complementary vendors to source warm introductions into accounts where Evervault fits.
Pipeline Handoff: Qualify opportunities against our criteria and hand them to AEs with clear context on the prospect's stack, pain points, and why now.
You're Perfect If You Have
1-2 years of BDR experience, preferably selling an API-based solution to technical personas
Track record of research-heavy, personalized outreach over high-volume activities
Understanding of the pain points of companies processing a high volume of card transactions
Genuine curiosity about connecting business’ payments problems to technical solutions
