Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner, recognising EVT Rewards Club members and returning guests
Share information on hotel services, room locations and the local area
Answer and record guest calls, messages, requests and concerns, and log guest preferences in the system
Carry out porter duties, including assisting guests with luggage
Resolve guest problems and complaints using service recovery guidelines, and pass outstanding issues to management for follow-up
Follow hotel safety protocols and report any health and safety incidents, security breaches or suspicious behaviour to the manager on duty
What You’ll Bring
A passion for people and service ideally with previous porter or concierge experience.
Strong communication skills when working with guests and colleagues
Problem solving and reasoning skills, with confidence handling guest concerns
Basic maths skills for accurately processing cash and credit card transactions
Basic computer skills to use property management and reservations systems
The ability to stand for long periods and carry or lift items up to 23 kilograms
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
A current valid driver’s licence (not learner)
Knowledge of local area including events and restaurants.
