Key Account Manager - Media & Advertising Sales

Responsibilities:

• The entire world is your territory. You decide which brands are worth chasing, and you build the list yourself, along with inbound inquiries, referrals, and research-based prospects.
• Get to the decision-maker. Marketing heads, CMOs, and founders. Cold calls, LinkedIn, email, WhatsApp, walk-ins, and industry events. We do not prescribe the method; we look at the meetings.
• Sit in the pitch. In the room from week one. Presenting parts of it yourself by the end of quarter one.
• Build the commercial. Work with our media team to turn a client brief into a media plan, a cost, and a proposal that wins.
• Close, then keep. Renewals and upsells on your own accounts earn you incentive again. The book you build is the book you are paid on.

Your first 90 days:

• 1st and 2nd Week: Media 101 How OOH, print, radio, cinema, TV, and digital are actually bought and priced. Shadow live client calls. Be in the room in real client meetings.
• 3rd - 6th Week: Build your prospect list. First 100 outbound conversations. Sit in on live pitches. Also handle our inbound inquiries from our media buying platform as well as the GTM we run.
• 7th - 12th: Run your own first-meeting pitches. Co-own live proposals. First closure expected within month four.

Where this goes:

• Month 0 - 3 - Learn the media landscape. Shadow live pitches. Build your prospect list.
• Month 3 - 12 - Carry an individual target. Close your first accounts.
• Month 12 - 18 - Promotion to Key Account Manager. Larger mandates, key accounts, and materially higher fixed bands.
• Beyond city or category ownership. We are opening new markets, and we promote from within.

Requirements:

• Experience: 0-2 years in any service selling: insurance, edtech, fintech, real estate, hospitality, SaaS, staffing, or telecom. Freshers with a genuine hustle welcome.
• You can hold a conversation with someone twenty years senior without folding.
• You are fine being told "no" eight times before you get a "yes. "
• You write a clear email and put together a decent PowerPoint.
• You are curious about brands, why they advertise where they do, and why they spend what they spend.
• Fluent in English and Hindi. Gujarati is a strong plus for Ahmedabad; Marathi for Mumbai.
• Any graduate. A track record of selling something, even a college fest sponsorship, matters more than the degree.
• Not required: advertising experience, an MBA, or a marketing degree. We have built strong sellers out of people from insurance, edtech, inside sales, telecom, real estate, and retail.
• Sales: 1-2 years (preferred).
