Job Description

We are looking for a GNC Expert at our Toulouse or Massy site, to support the rapid growth.

Attached to the R&D Team, you will be responsible for:

• Providing expertise and tech

• Supporting advanced research

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams

Main responsibilities:

• Reviewing and approving technical documents, both generated internally and with suppliers and customers,

• Leading specific activities linked with research and development activities on GNC applied to satellites,

• Help develop the technical expertise of the team through the writing of best practices and design guidelines,

• Be the reference to define test plans, validation strategies and technological roadmap linked to feed systems,

• Identifying innovative technologies (algorithms, architectures, subsystems, …) or methodologies to be further studied,

• Mobilising resources for exploration of innovative technologies and methodologies,

• Representing Exotrail in seminars and forums, sharing their expertise and promoting the company’s vision and capabilities.

  Preferred Experience

Education: Masters’ or PhD in aerospace engineering, robotics, electrical engineering or related field

• Experience: 10 years in guidance, navigation and control for satellites, launchers or associated systems, from concepts to design reviews, assembly and testing activities.

• Strong knowledge of the design of a complete GNC system for a satellite (hardware to software)

• Strong experience in GNC systems development, test preparation, data processing

• Software for GNC and mission analysis design (Matlab-Simulink, STK)

• Expertise in Python & proficiency in embedded software (C / C++)

• Strong technical leadership in multi-team technical meetings and a high level of agility.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with colleagues and external stakeholders in French and English (B2 min).

• Creativity vs unexpected technical issues (design, assembly, …)
