About the Role
OMA’s Rotterdam office has an opening for an Archive & Collection Intern, who will gain an overview and working knowledge of the infrastructure and day-to-day running of the archive and collection in a leading creative office. The Archive & Collection department consists of a Collection Manager and an Intern. In this role, you will assist the manager with all tasks. The successful candidate is expected to start in January 2027.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or completing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art History, Architectural History, Collection Management, Museum Studies, or a related field;
- High proficiency in MS Office software;
- Fluency in English is a must;
- Proficiency in additional languages, such as Dutch, is an advantage;
- Experience with digital archiving and/or handling physical models;
- Have a hands-on approach;
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organized;
- Confident in an international and complex environment;
Responsibilities
- Assisting the team with archiving past and current works of OMA;
- Archiving digital and non-digital materials for research and future projects;
- Handling physical models/mock-ups of architecture projects for the archive collection;
- Coordinating with other departments, such as Facility and Architecture, to secure the smooth archiving of architectural materials;
- Working on ad-hoc tasks, such as exhibitions, research, communication with international art institutions and publications;
- Re-packaging archive items when needed;
