What you will do
We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with strong expertise in SAP Data Archiving and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) to support, maintain, and optimize our SAP landscape. The role is responsible for SAP system administration, performance management, system upgrades, database management, security administration, and end-to-end archiving strategy execution. The successful candidate will ensure system stability, compliance, optimal performance, and efficient data growth management across SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Basis Administration
- Install, configure, monitor, and maintain SAP systems including ECC, S/4HANA, BW, Solution Manager, and other SAP applications.
- Perform SAP system upgrades, enhancement package installations, support package implementations, and kernel upgrades.
- Manage SAP transport landscape and coordinate change management activities.
- Monitor system performance and perform tuning activities to ensure optimal availability and response times.
- Administer SAP instances, application servers, databases, and operating systems.
SAP Archiving & Data Lifecycle Management
- Design, implement, and support SAP Data Archiving solutions using standard SAP Archiving Objects.
- Develop and execute archiving strategies to manage database growth and improve system performance.
- Support SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and compliance-related retention requirements.
- Collaborate with functional teams to identify archiving candidates and business data retention policies.
- Monitor archiving jobs, validate archived data, and ensure successful retrieval when required.
- Manage archive storage integrations with content servers and third-party archiving solutions.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Fluent in English: TOEIC 750+, TOEFL iBT 98+, or IELTS 6.5+
- Minimum 3+ years of SAP Basis administration experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on SAP Data Archiving experience.
- Strong experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SAP Basis Administration
- SARA (Archive Administration)
- SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management)
