The IT department is seeking new candidates to its dynamic team. The department provides support worldwide to the Organizations all along the value chain from exploration through site development to production.
What role you will play in our team
The Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for building, operating, and continuously improving IT Platform Engineering capabilities. This role focuses on designing and managing the infrastructure and tools that business capability teams use to build and deploy applications.
The goal is to provide stable, scalable, and self-service platforms, enabling teams to focus on delivering business value without worrying about the underlying infrastructure. This includes automating processes, providing reusable components, improving observability, and ensuring infrastructure resilience, security, and compliance.
In this role, you will apply industry best practices, contribute to platform evolution, and take an active role in improving reliability and operational efficiency. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and support production environments as needed.
While this description covers a broad range of technologies, we are hiring for multiple teams. We value strong experience in some of these areas and a willingness to learn others, you are not expected to meet every requirement to apply.
What you will do
(this role may vary depending on the team focus and priorities)
- Operate and improve cloud and on-premise platforms
- Support and optimize Windows and/or Linux environments
- Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code practices
- Monitor systems and improve performance, reliability, and availability
- Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Contribute to platform scalability, resilience, and observability improvements
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment and platform usage
- Support underlying infrastructure components such as virtualization, storage, and data protection depending on team scope
About You
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure, site reliability engineering, devops or related roles
- Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Nutanix, etc.)
- Exposure to observability tools (Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, etc.)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Ansible, or similar)
- Experience managing production environments (Windows and/or Linux)
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Hands-on experience with scripting or programming for automation (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Experience with version control and CI/CD practices (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile or collaborative environments
- Understanding of system performance, reliability, and operational best practices
- Good English communication skills (interviews will be in English)
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, firewalls, load balancing, IP addressing)
- Experience with containers or orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.)
- Familiarity with backend services and REST APIs
- Experience with enterprise application platforms
The level and seniority for this position will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and skills. We welcome candidates with different experience levels who are eager to grow in SRE and Platform Engineering.
