ExxonMobil in Malaysia
In Malaysia, we host a global business and technology center in Kuala Lumpur that provides high-level information technology and engineering expertise to ExxonMobil’s Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses worldwide. In the upstream, we have interests in two Production Sharing Contracts with PETRONAS, while in the Product Solutions business, we supply a portfolio of specialty chemical products to the marketplace.
What role you will play in our team
Responsible for developing and maintaining customer relationships for the sale of goods and / or services to meet business objectives. Following sales processes and executing sales plans, serve as the primary contact for customer interactions, representing our brands and culture to outside parties.
- Develop and maintain relationship with customers and distributors
- Identify potential clients, analyze business opportunities while generate pipelines through leads conversion
- Gather market information and trends while provide useful analysis to management relevant to the business
- Support developmental efforts in ASEAN countries to achieve business growth
- Ensure compliance to business control processes related to the conduct of the business
What will you do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and channel stakeholders to expand the business portfolio and drive revenue growth.
- Drive business growth across ASEAN markets by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic customer engagements, and achieving business objectives.
- Identify and qualify prospective clients, analyze market opportunities, and generate a robust sales pipeline through effective lead conversion and account development.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence, industry trends, and competitive insights to provide actionable recommendations that support strategic business priorities.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, business controls, and governance processes in the execution of all business activities.
About you
- Minimum holding a bachelor’s degree from well-recognized overseas/local university
- Fluent English written and spoken proficiency - IELTS > 6 or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years working experience in plastic / polymer related field is preferred
- Malaysian citizenship or permanent residency in Malaysia
- Good Chinese written and spoken proficiency, good command of Thai language will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align business activities to organizational objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of polymer applications, supported by a strong technical foundation and industry expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal, networking, and stakeholder management skills, with experience organizing industry events or managing business engagement activities.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence and engage diverse audiences.
- Good understanding of Malaysian business administration, regulatory requirements, and commercial processes to support business transactions and operations.
- Willingness and ability to undertake regular business travel within Malaysia and across Southeast Asia.
