Client Technology (CT) focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.

Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT) - EWT supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. EWT will also support our internal technological needs by focusing on better user experience.

Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protects EY and client data, and our information management systems.

The opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure management, and cloud operations. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cloud-based platforms, applications, and infrastructure solutions leveraging AWS services, EKS (Kubernetes), AWS Lambda, cloud databases, and modern CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in GitHub, AWS cloud-native technologies, infrastructure automation, pipeline development, and cloud platform engineering.

You will play a key role in architecting and supporting scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions while driving continuous improvements in developer experience and platform reliability. The role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, networking, security best practices, and performance optimization. As a senior engineer, you will work independently to solve complex technical challenges, take up technical initiatives, and champion engineering best practices.

The successful candidate will be passionate about solving pain points for the developer community, enabling operational excellence, and delivering innovative cloud-native solutions that accelerate business outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

• A team member with strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python
• Hands on experience with Kubernetes and Lambda, CICD Knowledge, Angular Java, Python, TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and deploying AI solutions in a cloud environment.
• Knowledge of trusted AI practices, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability in AI models and systems.
• Strong collaboration with software engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of AI models.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
• Understanding of data privacy, security, and ethical considerations in AI applications.
• Track record of driving innovation and staying updated with the latest AI research and advancements.

Good to Have Skills:

• A good team member, being able to work with other engineers/developers, Scrum/Agile methodologies
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for streamlined model deployment and scaling processes.
• Utilize tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Git to build and manage AI pipelines.
• Collaborate seamlessly with software engineering and operations teams for efficient AI model integration and deployment.
• Familiarity with DevOps and MLOps practices, including continuous integration, deployment

To qualify for the role, you must have

• 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Operations, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Python-based automation.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud infrastructure, networking, security, and performance.
• Experience with cloud databases, distributed systems, and containerized applications.
• Understanding of cloud governance, cost optimization, and operational resilience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• AWS and/or Kubernetes certifications preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT) or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on expertise with GitHub, AWS Services, Cloud based databases, CI/CD, Pipeline Development, Cloud Platform Development, Cloud Based Application Development
• Experienced Senior Engineer, being able to work independently, passionate about solving points of pain for developer community , scrum/agile methodologies
• Strong troubleshooting skills in cloud infrastructure, networking, security best practices, and performance optimization

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
