Operating since 1998, it runs Kidz Therapy and Kidz Educational Services, with early intervention, preschool and school-age programs, center-based behavior analysis sites in Baldwin, Farmingdale, Islandia and New Hyde Park, and caseloads in Westchester, Putnam, Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties. It recruits speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, special educators, behavior analysts and behavior technicians.

Details about this opportunity:

  • Location: Various cases around South Shore, Nassau County, NY
  • Status: Part-Time, Fee for Service or Full time Potential 
  • Hours:   Availability during school hours typically Mon-Fri.
    • Follows school calendar 
    • Specific session lengths depend on IEP mandates (e.g., 1×30 min, 5×45 min, etc.)
  • Compensation:  $60/hour

**Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.**

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, small-group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to student needs.
  • Adapt curriculum materials and instructional strategies to support diverse learners
  • Review, understand, and implement each student’s IEP mandates.
  • Collect ongoing progress data and prepare quarterly progress reports.
  • Maintain accurate session notes and submit documentation within required timelines.
  • Communicate regularly with general education teachers regarding student needs, accommodations, and classroom strategies.
  • Participate in CSE/IEP meetings as needed.
  • Maintain professional communication with families, school administrators, and related service providers.
  • Create a structured, supportive learning environment.
  • Implement positive behavior support strategies and classroom routines.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on data.

  • NYS Students with Disabilities Certification K-6, 7-12 ( NYS SWD All Grades or Permanent Preferred)
  • Minimum of (1) year experience working in a setting focusing on supporting children and their families preferred
  • Bilingual is a plus
