We Are Looking For
The Machine Operator II is an experienced position responsible for operating low-to-midcomplex machinery under moderate supervision.This position is responsible forperforming routine maintenance, troubleshooting basic machineissues, and supportingthe training of new operators. This individualisresponsible forensuring the machine produces high-quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.
What You’ll Do
As a Machine Operator II, you’ll be responsible for:
- Responsible for operating low-to-mid complexity machinery following standard instructions and adjusting settings for minor variations.
- Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshoot basic machine issues to ensure continuous operation.
- Assist in training new operators on standard machine operations, providing hands-on guidance and demonstrating proper setup and safety procedures.
- Read and comprehended technical drawings to understand machining requirements and ensure alignment with production goals.
- Develop a basic understanding of G-code programming to support machine setup and minor adjustments.
- Gain basic material knowledge of aerospace materials to select appropriate inputs for specific machining tasks.
- Conduct in-process inspections to monitor product quality, identifying issues like improper cuts, insulation damage, misalignment, etc.andreporting them promptly.
- Assist in loading and unloading raw materials into machines, verifying quantities and types against documentation under moderate oversight.
- Clean and maintain equipment under moderate supervision and troubleshoot any issues that arise to a lead or supervisor.
- Utilize basic computers skills to enter data into production systems and access work orders as guided by supervisors.
- Maintain an organized work area by keeping aisles clear, properly storing materials, and adhering to safety and organizational standards. Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety training sessions.
- Follow safety protocols by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and participating in safety training to prevent workplace hazards
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience, or equivalent on-the-job training, with demonstrated proficiency in operating machinery preferred.
- Ability to work independently with moderate supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist less experienced operators
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to document findings and provide training support
- Basic problem-solving skills to address machine and process issues
- Commitment to adhere to safety protocols and quality standards with a focus on continuous improvement
Special Requirements:
- U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) or asylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
