We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Business Systems Analyst - General Operations to join the Enterprise Solutions Team within the Ferguson IT organization. In this role, you will directly support the team and its associated applications, working closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Software Testing Engineers to ensure the successful implementation and enhancement of business systems. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and driving improvements to business processes and systems. This is a key position where your expertise in systems analysis and collaboration with technical teams will help shape and optimize Ferguson's enterprise solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Facilitates the research, exploration, analysis, and documentation of business systems requirements, translating them into detailed functional specifications for development.
• Partner with Product Owners, developers, and architects to translate complex business requirement to user stories, epics for the technical team to develop
• Lead requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
• Analyze functional requirements, system interactions, data flows, and interface requirements across system
• Develop and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data mapping documentation of system
• Documents current business processes and models to define requirements and/or gaps.
• Analyze detailed system factors including input/output requirements, information and paper flow, hardware, and software needs.
• Analyze soft system factors including roles, responsibilities, policy, culture, etc.
• Evaluate the impact of potential software and process changes on the organization.
• Assist in the creation of the business case documentation.
• Understanding architectural consistency and usability standards.
• Drives the implementation of systems, working closely with technical team members.
• Plan and complete assigned configuration tasks within deadlines.
• Defines and develops user test cases and validates test results during testing.
• May conduct system demonstrations and training sessions, as well as participate in design/review of training content.
• Plays a third-level support role by helping troubleshoot and resolve issues with production systems.
• Participates in associate meetings and communicates any concerns to management.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Experience reading code (Java or SQL) is a plus.
• Experience with Order Capture and Supply Chain.
• Experience with Unidata is a plus.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience, with preference for experience in business areas such as accounting, finance, warehouse operations, purchasing, order management, and order fulfillment. Business or systems analysis experience can substitute for formal education.
• Proficient in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Jira, and Confluence. Familiarity with application integration methods, including data mapping processes.
• Requirements Gathering: Gathering requirements through stakeholder interviews, brainstorming with PO's, workshops, and process analysis
• Agile Artifacts: Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Story Mapping, Definition of Done
• Implementation Validation: UAT planning & execution, test case design, defect triage, post-go-live monitoring
• Tools: JIRA, Confluence, Visio/Lucidchart, SQL, Excel (advanced), Azure DevOps
• Methodologies: Agile/Scrum, Waterfall (hybrid environments), SAFe
• Domain : Supply chain, ERP
• Strong domain knowledge in at least one business area, with the ability to analyze and improve sophisticated processes and systems.
• Superb communication skills for interacting with both technical and non-technical collaborators at all levels. Capable of presenting in various formats, from one-on-one meetings to large group presentations.
• Meticulous, proactive, and efficient with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Able to work independently and within teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly, and to work with minimal direction.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle methodologies, and ability to support projects through all phases.
• Soft Skills: Strong listening skills, creative problem-solving, and effective at presenting ideas and solutions.
