About the role
The Network Operations Manager keeps Finmo's network of banks and PSPs reliable, well governed and cost efficient. Every client payment, collection and FX conversion we process runs through one of these partners. You will own the operational life of each partner from bringing it on, keeping it healthy, holding it to its commitments, and retiring it cleanly when it no longer fits. You will sit between our partners and Finmo's Product, Engineering, Compliance, Treasury, Finance, Support and Commercial teams. Your job is to see problems early, take a data-driven approach to solutions, get the right people moving, and follow through until the problem is fixed.
What you'll Own
Partner onboarding, integration, migration and offboarding
- Lead new Partner onboarding from first due diligence request to go-live, including preparing the EDD response pack and coordinating every internal team involved accurately and on time.
- Run Partner migrations, deprecations and offboarding. Ensure smooth client flows without disruption.
- Maintain Finmo's library of corporate documents (constitutional documents, licences, policies, financials, ownership and org charts) so partner onboarding and review requests can be answered quickly and consistently.
- Own recurring RFI, EDD and re-KYB cycles with banks and PSPs, including MSB questionnaires and Partner migration exercises.
- Drive Partner integrations that need heavy coordination across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Treasury and the partner.
- Set the plan, owners and milestones from onboarding to go-live, remove blockers, and keep stakeholders informed.
Incident management and transaction escalations
- Coordinate live outage response with the Partner and Finmo's internal support teams.
- Assess internal and client impact quickly and drive near-term workarounds, such as rerouting flows, coordinating closely with internal teams.
- Own transaction escalations and investigations with partners, including delayed, returned, rejected or untraced payments.
- Lead post-mortems, agree root causes with the partner, and track long-term fixes until they are closed.
Partner health review, performance tracking and SLA governance
- Track Partner performance against agreed SLAs, log every breach, and run governance and enforcement with the partner.
- Analyse large volumes of transaction and operational data to find risks, bottlenecks and performance gaps and build early-warning alerts that flag problems two steps ahead.
- Compile and share Partner uptime, downtime, settlement timeliness, risk appetite changes and KYB/KYC requirement changes.
- Keep a downtime log with root cause and merchant impact for every event.
- Produce recurring reporting independently, from data extraction to a published output that is actionable.
What you'll bring
- Based in Kuala Lumpur with the right to work in Malaysia.
- 3 - 5+ years in payment operations, banking operations, partner or vendor management, or a similar role at any financial institutions
- Hands-on understanding of how banks and PSPs work as partners: onboarding and due diligence, settlement, cut-offs, limits and payment routing.
- Direct experience preparing EDD packs, KYB documentation or partner RFI responses.
- Strong data skills to turn raw data into a clear case for action.
- Calm, structured incident handling under pressure.
- Confidence holding partners and internal teams to account, and influencing without direct authority.
- An ownership mindset and real care for controls, documentation and operational resilience.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of global and local payment rails, such as SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments, ACH and APAC real-time schemes.
- Experience with MSB questionnaires, correspondent banking due diligence or regulatory RFIs.
- Experience running quarterly business reviews or service reviews with banks or strategic B2B partners.
- Background in SLA management, fee reconciliation or cost recovery.
