Key Responsibilities
Data Operations and Delivery
Own the intake, prioritization, and delivery of all Salesforce data changes, including record creation, updates, deletions, merges, ownership reassignments, bulk loads, and enrichment refreshes.
Manage the data team's Jira Service Management queue, including triage, priority definitions, service levels, and weekly throughput.
Lead acquisition and platform data migrations into Salesforce, including field mapping, validation, and reconciliation, in partnership with data stewards and engineers.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as the primary point of contact for Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, and Finance on Salesforce data requests. Gather requirements, confirm scope, set expectations, and communicate completion.
Publish a weekly data operations summary covering completed data hygiene work, open and resolved sales-blocking items, and risks requiring a decision.
Communicate proactively with director-level stakeholders during US Eastern business hours: what will be delivered, by when, and what is needed from them.
Data Standards and Stewardship
Apply and enforce the master data standards for Accounts, Contacts, and account hierarchies, including the master account classification model, parent and child relationships, and alignment with Finance customer records.
Operate enrichment and deduplication processes using ZoomInfo, DemandTools, Data Loader, and Workbench, with documented rules and audit trails.
Keep stewardship procedures, runbooks, and field definitions current so that work is repeatable and auditable.
Data Quality Monitoring
Own the operational data quality reports and dashboards that track completeness, duplication, and standards compliance over time.
Convert findings from the Senior Data Analyst into remediation plans with owners and dates, and report results back to stakeholders.
Team Leadership
Manage, coach, and develop the data stewards, data engineers, and data analyst on the data management team. Set weekly priorities, review deliverables, and remove blockers.
Participate in hiring with the Head of DIO and Human Resources, including interviews, scorecards, and onboarding.
Build team capability in SQL, Salesforce data tools, and requirements analysis.
How This Role Fits
The Salesforce Data Quality Manager works alongside several partner functions and is expected to maintain strong working relationships with each:
Head of DIO: sets the strategy, roadmap, operating model, and vendor and budget decisions; this role executes against them and informs them with what the queue and the team are showing.
Senior Data Analyst (DIO): shares analysis findings and priorities; this role plans and executes the resulting data changes.
Salesforce Solution Architect: collaborates on data model changes, field and object design, and any platform change that affects data quality. Configuration and development are delivered by the Salesforce development team based on requirements this role helps define.
Business Analysis: partners on requirements gathering for larger data initiatives.
Corporate IT Project Management Office: coordinates delivery of larger programs such as acquisition migrations.
Revenue Operations Business Intelligence: consumes trusted data for business dashboards and revenue reporting. This role produces operational data quality reporting only.
Enterprise Data Architecture: owns enterprise data models, warehouses, and integrations. This role contributes requirements and consumes outputs.
What Success Looks Like
First 90 Days
The Jira Service Management queue is operating with defined priorities and service levels, and weekly metrics are published to Revenue Operations.
Every team member has clear weekly priorities and a single manager providing daily direction.
Business stakeholders recognize this role as the primary contact for Salesforce data.
First 12 Months
Measurable improvement in account completeness and duplicate rates against the baseline established in the first quarter.
Migration and enrichment work delivered on documented rules with no rework caused by missed requirements.
A team capable of absorbing a new acquisition or platform migration without additional headcount.
Qualifications
Required
Five or more years of experience in Salesforce data operations, data stewardship, or CRM data quality, including at least two years leading a team.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with demonstrated experience working with fast-moving, director-level business stakeholders during US Eastern business hours.
Strong business analysis skills: the ability to elicit and document requirements and translate a business need into a specific, governed data change.
Hands-on SQL and data manipulation experience, including joins, deduplication logic, profiling, and validation of large record sets.
Working knowledge of Salesforce data tools such as Data Loader, Workbench, DemandTools or equivalent, and Salesforce reports and list views.
Experience with account hierarchies, data enrichment providers such as ZoomInfo or Dun & Bradstreet, and deduplication at scale.
Preferred
Salesforce Administrator certification.
Experience with Jira Service Management or a comparable ticketing platform, including service level and dashboard configuration.
Experience supporting M&A data migrations or CRM consolidations.
Familiarity with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK and data quality dimensions.
Experience in background screening, B2B SaaS, or professional services.
