First Independent Power Limited is a company in the business of power generation in Nigeria located in Rivers State. We own and operate 4 gas turbine power plants within Rivers State located in Trans-Amadi Port-Harcourt, Afam, Omoku and Eleme. FIPL currently has a combined installed capacity of 541MW. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Instrumentation and Control Engineer

Location: Rivers
Job type: Full-time

The Role

• Maintain the reliability, accuracy and availability of instrumentation, control and automation systems that support safe, efficient and continuous power generation.
• Execute routine, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot I&C faults, improve reliability and ensure compliance with safety, OEM and quality standards.

Qualifications

• COREN certification is an added advantage.
• B.Eng/HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, with 3-5 years' relevant power industry experience.

What we are looking for:

• Experience with MK V, MK VI, Sentinel and Egatrol is an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of power plant instrumentation and control systems, practical calibration experience, strong troubleshooting ability and knowledge of maintenance and safety requirements.
