Job Title
Mainframe Engineering LeadAbout the role:
You will play a critical role in leading the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
What is expected:
- Provide leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Perform advanced coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers and team members.
- Drive innovation and best practices within the software development team.
Experience needed:
- 12+ years of experience in software development along with leadership qualities.
- 8+ years of experience in Mainframe - Assembler, COBOL, CICS, Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages
- 8+ years of experience in SQL databases
- 8+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services
- 8+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and Agile methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience in the financial services industry.
How you’ll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration essential because office experiences support onboarding and stronger productivity.
- Provide on-call support as required..
- This is a full-time, direct-hire position. Contract options and unsolicited agency submissions will not be considered.
