Higgins is looking for a permanent, full-time Traffic Management Operative to join our team in Mount Maunganui.
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will work alongside the STMS and wider site team to set up temporary traffic management, guide road users and support day-to-day maintenance activities.
- Set up, maintain and remove temporary traffic management equipment
- Carry out stop/go operations, pilot vehicle driving and truck-based TMO duties
- Read traffic management plans and confirm the day’s work with the STMS
- Complete pre-start checks and keep vehicles, tools and equipment in safe condition
- Complete site documentation and report hazards, issues or equipment concerns
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with your crew, clients and the public
About You
- A current Class 1 driver licence and Level 1 Basic TMO qualification
- Construct Safe Tier 1 and a Site Safe Civil Passport
- Knowledge of safe working practices on roadwork or construction sites
- TMO or roading experience is useful, although further training can be provided
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work well within a crew
- Reliable, practical and willing to assist with traffic control, maintenance and general site duties
