Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Buyer Indirect located in Guadalajara.
Reporting to the Commodity Manager , Buyer Indirect role involves being responsible for coordinates activities involved with procuring direct materials, components and equipment.
What a typical day looks like:
Maintaining relations with the suppliers.
Placing orders for necessary raw materials and purchased parts according to the requirements of the production.
Receiving and handling the confirmations.
Checking the purchase orders and modifying them according to the changes in the production plan with the help of the Shortage List and the Open Purchase Order List.
Tracking shipments, urging them if needed.
Regular, weekly check of the stocks, avoiding overstock.
Minimizing the risk of obsolescence with the help of the weekly check of the obsolete report.
Correspondence with the freight forwarders, warehouses, and in case organizing the transportation.
Dealing with claims, settling debit and credit issues.
Assuring all active components according to production needs, in time, for the accord price in the request.
Reviews requisitions and MRP output.
Confers with vendors to obtain product information such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
Orders, reschedules and cancels material based on requisitions and MRP output.
Maintains procurement records such as items purchased, costs, delivery and inventories.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
Intermediated English level.
Experience Facilities or Engineering Background
Proven track record managing material availability to support production schedules (clear-to-build).
Experience using Baan or SAP.
Ability to manage demand changes through push in / push out execution
Strong track record in shortage mitigation and expedite management in fast-paced environments
Experience with end-to-end purchase order management.
Demonstrated experience in cost negotiation and cost reduction initiatives
Experience working with suppliers.
