Why this role matters
In your first year as Maintenance Supervisor, you will drive improvements in equipment reliability and plant throughput, directly impacting our ability to deliver better food consistently. This role is vital to maintaining and enhancing the operational excellence of our facility by reducing downtime and increasing overall equipment effectiveness. You will lead a team on the B shift, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration across shifts to keep production running efficiently. What you'll do
- Execute the day-to-day maintenance program, prioritizing preventive maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns.
- Lead root cause analysis to identify and eliminate recurring equipment failures and reduce downtime.
- Build and develop a skilled, motivated maintenance team through effective leadership and communication.
- Coordinate closely with production and other shifts to ensure seamless handovers and shared priorities.
- Track and report on maintenance compliance, downtime, and equipment reliability metrics to drive continuous improvement.
Performance
You will own the reliability of critical equipment, measured by key performance indicators such as maintenance downtime percentage, preventive maintenance compliance, schedule adherence, and mean time between failures. Your data-driven approach will deliver measurable improvements in plant throughput and operational efficiency, contributing directly to Flora Food Group’s growth and success.
Care
This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and leads a team of 9 associates on the B shift. You will foster a culture of safety, respect, and integrity while collaborating closely with production teams and peers across four shifts. Your leadership will ensure sustainable maintenance practices that support long-term plant performance and employee well-being.

You have experience leading maintenance teams in manufacturing environments, with strong skills in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, including familiarity with PLCs such as Allen Bradley or Siemens. You demonstrate a track record of improving equipment reliability through root cause analysis and problem-solving. Your leadership style builds team capability and sets clear priorities under pressure. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated to deliver results that matter.
