FloSports is creating the home for college conferences/leagues and sports like grappling, hockey, track & field, racing, cheer, wrestling, and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us!

THE ROLE:

FloSports is looking for a highly collaborative and execution-oriented Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional programs that support the company’s growth and operational evolution. Based in Austin, Texas, this role reports to the Director of Business Operations.

A few characteristics which will make you successful in this role:

  • You’re entrepreneurial, aren’t afraid of failure, and have demonstrated success while overcoming roadblocks

  • You’re collaborative and a quick study to understand what is important to many different stakeholders across the organization

  • You’re humble, receptive to feedback, and willing to roll up your sleeves and do the work yourself when needed

  • You can synthesize ambiguous problems and break them down into structured, manageable steps to solve

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage New Sport Vertical Launches

  • Lead the end-to-end program for launching new sports verticals, from pre-launch program design and planning through launch and post-launch growth.

  • Coordinate the commercial, operational, technical, production, partner, content, marketing, and customer-experience components of each launch.

  • Build and maintain an integrated roadmap for planned and potential vertical launches.

  • Lead post-launch reviews and incorporate lessons learned into FloSports’ vertical-launch framework.

Lead Technology and Operational Transformation Programs

  • Lead cross-functional programs that introduce new technology, workflows, or operating models into FloSports’ business.

  • Support initiatives centered around new content-capture models, partner production technology, remote production capabilities, workflow automation, and operational tooling.

  • Develop phased implementation plans that may include product development, pilots, field testing, partner onboarding, training, deployment, and ongoing support.

  • Ensure new capabilities are operationally supportable, scalable, and aligned with the customer and partner experience.

  • Coordinate change-management activities to drive adoption, clarify new responsibilities, and transition programs into sustainable business operations.

Coordinate Merger and Acquisition programs

  • Lead cross-functional due diligence across internal business units and senior external stakeholders (e.g., advisors, legal counsel, target leadership) to audit risk profiles, uncover operational dependencies, and evaluate target synergies.

  • Establish and implement scalable integration frameworks, governance structures, and playbooks that standardize post-merger execution and executive reporting.

  • Own Day 1 readiness plans including orchestrating workstream execution and communications to guarantee seamless business continuity upon deal close.

  • Drive post-merger synergy realization, tracking critical-path dependencies, operational efficiencies, and integration KPIs to ensure full capture of deal value.

Apply Data and Financial Rigor

  • Build and maintain program budgets, forecasts, business cases, and financial models in partnership with Finance and functional leaders.

  • Evaluate potential initiatives using cost-benefit, ROI, scenario, sensitivity, and capacity analyses.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide visibility into financial performance, operational readiness, delivery progress, and business results.

  • Ensure decisions and executive recommendations are supported by reliable data, explicit assumptions, and a clear understanding of financial tradeoffs.

Drive Accountability, Decisions, and Communication

  • Align cross-functional teams around priorities, responsibilities, deliverables, and decision ownership.

  • Facilitate difficult decisions when teams face competing priorities, timelines, or resource constraints.

  • Identify risks and dependencies early, drive mitigation plans, and escalate unresolved issues with clear options and recommendations.

  • Provide concise, decision-oriented updates to executives and stakeholders on program health, milestones, budgets, risks, and required actions.

  • Maintain clear documentation of key decisions, commitments, and assumptions

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, business operations, strategy and operations, consulting, media operations, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional programs from planning through implementation across commercial, technical, creative, financial, and operational teams.

  • Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive accountability without direct authority.

  • Experience managing roadmaps, budgets, dependencies, risks, and executive communications.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using KPIs to guide decisions. Ability to translate data into clear business insights, decisions, and recommendations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • A hands-on approach and willingness to move between strategic planning and detailed execution.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including financial modeling, data manipulation, and executive-ready reporting.

  • Experience working with business-intelligence platforms (Domo, Looker Studio, Tableau, PowerBI, etc)

BONUS

  • Experience in streaming media, live sports, digital media, entertainment, or subscription businesses.

  • Familiarity with sports-rights partnerships, live production, video technology, or direct-to-consumer platforms.

  • Experience within Growth-stage companies
