Account Manager

We’re looking for an Account Manager to join our Markets team in Sydney. This is a great opportunity for someone with some exposure to financial markets, trade support, operations or client service who is looking to broaden their experience in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

You don’t need to know everything from day one. We’re looking for someone curious, proactive and willing to get stuck in, learn how we operate and bring fresh ideas to the team. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues as you develop your knowledge across account management, trading and post-trade operations.

Sitting within our Sydney-based Markets team, you’ll support a portfolio of intermediary clients and play an important role in their day-to-day experience with FNZ. The environment can be fast-moving and deadline-driven, particularly when markets are busy, so you’ll need to be comfortable prioritising work and resolving queries quickly.

The responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the onboarding of new client accounts, including AML/KYC requirements.
• Managing day-to-day client and trade queries, acting as a key link between clients, traders and internal teams.
• Supporting trade capture, bookings, confirmations and allocations.
• Completing trade and account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
• Supporting settlements, including pre-matching, inventory management and failed trades.
• Assisting with corporate actions, cash and holdings management and other post-trade activities.
• Building strong relationships with clients and providing responsive, high-quality service.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

We’re open-minded about your exact background. You might currently work in trade support, middle office, settlements, client service or financial markets operations and be ready to take the next step into a broader client-facing role.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Some experience or understanding of financial markets, trading or settlements.
• A genuine interest in developing your knowledge of capital markets.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• An organised approach and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership and learn.
• A collaborative style and an interest in contributing ideas rather than simply following established processes.

Experience with CHESS, ASX settlement processes, IRESS, FIX, SWIFT or GBST platforms would be beneficial, but we’re not expecting you to tick every box.
