Te Tūranga - About the role

The Employee Experience (EEx) Programme is our co-op-wide reset of how our people and payroll experience works; simpler, smarter, and designed for the moments that matter. We're modernising systems and streamlining processes so it's easier for our teams across stores, Distribution Centres and Support Centre to get stuff done and focus on customers.

This is a unique opportunity to lead the people data workstream for one of Foodies' most significant people transformations. You'll help build the foundations for trusted, high-quality people data while shaping how workforce insights, reporting and governance support future business decisions.

Reporting to the Head of People Systems, you'll provide technical leadership across data governance, reporting, quality, insights and master data management. Working closely with People & Capability, Payroll, IT, Finance and programme teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring our people data is accurate, trusted and positioned to support long-term business success. You’ll also have a small team reporting into you.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the people data workstream for the Employee Experience programme and support the transition into long-term business ownership.
• Drive people data governance, quality, reporting and master data management practices across the organisation.
• Partner with People & Capability, Payroll, IT and Finance teams to ensure people data is trusted, accessible and fit for purpose.
• Develop meaningful workforce reporting and insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Mentor and support people data capability while identifying opportunities to leverage automation, analytics and AI.

You're passionate about turning data into meaningful insights and understand the role quality data plays in enabling great employee experiences. You enjoy solving complex problems, influencing stakeholders and bringing structure to large-scale transformation initiatives.

You'll likely bring:

• Significant experience working with HR systems, reporting and people analytics.
• Experience using tools such as SAP, SuccessFactors, payroll systems, Power BI or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality and master data management.
• People leadership experience supporting and developing others.
• Experience delivering people data initiatives through major transformation programmes.
• Experience using data and insights to track readiness, adoption and risk, and inform delivery decisions
• A passion for data, continuous improvement, automation and emerging technologies, including AI capability.
