About Fab 4 Wet Process Operations

Fab 4 Wet Process Operations supports the safe, efficient, and high-quality movement of wafers through the Wet Process area. Our team works closely with peer manufacturing areas, Process teams, Equipment teams, and many other organizations to supervise fab performance, manage production risks, optimize cycle time, and drive execution against move targets. Through real-time decision making and continuous improvement, we help ensure the fab meets customer and business commitments.

Position Summary

The Shift Manufacturing Engineer (ME) is responsible for driving daily fab performance within the assigned area. This role partners closely with Manufacturing Technicians, Shift Lead Engineers, Process Engineers, and Operations teams to achieve wafer move targets, optimize cycle time, respond to quality concerns, and maintain efficient workflow through the manufacturing line.

Working on a 12-hour compressed workweek schedule, this position provides real-time operational leadership by identifying manufacturing constraints, supervising material flow, supporting production decisions, and driving actions needed to meet weekly wafer movement and wafer-on-hand objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise wafer movement performance by DID, process step, and operational targets.
• Identify manufacturing gaps, WIP imbalances, bottlenecks, and workflow disruptions.
• Develop and implement plans to close gaps and achieve weekly move and wafer-on-hand commitments.
• Support operational decision-making to optimize capacity utilization and factory performance.
• Partner with Engineering teams to prioritize and communicate tool-related needs.
• Support automation, reporting, and process improvements that improve visibility and decision-making.
• Leveraging AI powered tools and technologies to improve operational decision-making, increase productivity, and enhance visibility into manufacturing performance.

Success Measures

Success in this role will be measured by:

• Achievement of weekly wafer movement, wafer-on-hand, cycle time, and operational performance targets.
• Responsiveness and effectiveness of quality investigations.
• Reduction of WIP gaps and manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Safety and quality performance.

What Makes This Role Unique

This role serves as the primary manufacturing operations owner for Wet Process during their assigned shift, balancing factory priorities, production risk, cycle time, quality, and move performance to achieve business objectives. This role is expected to understand factory priorities in real time, identify risks before they impact production, coordinate and drive execution across multiple organizations without direct authority to resolve manufacturing constraints and achieve operational objectives. Success in this position requires strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to drive execution across multiple interested parties in a multifaceted manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• Experience with production planning, factory flow management, or industrial engineering concepts.
• Knowledge of cycle time management, bottleneck analysis, and manufacturing optimization.
• Experience using manufacturing systems, reporting tools, and data analysis platforms.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience leading projects and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Experience with programming, database management, and data visualization tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to support data analysis, reporting, and operational decision-making.
