JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Sales and Indirect Tax Manager to join our Tax Department. Reporting directly to the Tax Director, you will oversee indirect tax matters for Fox Corporation and its business units.

In this role, you will manage a portfolio of indirect taxes-including Sales Tax, Personal Property Tax, Los Angeles Business Tax, Value-Added Tax (VAT), and other municipal taxes. You will partner with operational teams to support compliance, tax planning, audit defense, and internal tax consulting.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the compliance lifecycle for indirect taxes, including Sales Tax, Personal Property Tax, Los Angeles Business Tax, VAT, intercompany transactions, and Excise taxes
• Partner with business units providing guidance on the tax implications of new initiatives, product launches, and routine operations
• Work with the Tax Director to evaluate and implement tax planning strategies to optimize Fox Corporation’s indirect tax position across relevant jurisdictions
• Manage indirect tax audits by gathering data, drafting responses, and interfacing with state, local, and international tax authorities to support company tax positions
• Explain indirect tax regulations clearly to non-tax stakeholders, supporting compliance across the organization
• Assist the Tax Director with ad-hoc projects, process improvements, and tax technology updates

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience in indirect tax compliance, consulting, and audit defense, with exposure to sales tax, property tax, VAT, and local municipal taxes (including the LA Business Tax).
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Clear interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
• Strong written communication skills for drafting tax memorandums, audit responses, and policy guidelines
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, complex formulas, and working with large datasets)
• Proficient in using state and local tax authority websites and tax research tools to resolve issues and track legislative changes

• CPA certification or an advanced degree

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $138,000.00-150,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
