Missions
- Design and build the core platform that runs Freeform’s factories and connects every part of the business, from quoting to production to delivery.
- Lead architecture and implementation, make foundational technical decisions, and work closely with engineers across disciplines to solve real, complex problems with your code.
- Develop applications to track the end-to-end lifecycle of millions of parts across thousands of customers around the world, ensuring scalability and resilience.
Profil recherché
- 3D printing experience is not required to be successful here - rather we look for smart, motivated, collaborative engineers who love solving hard problems and creating amazing technology!- 3+ years of professional experience in modern software development languages or significant project/intern experience
- Experience writing applications which interact with SQL databases and non-relational databases
- Experience with frontend web frameworks such as React or Next.js
- Experience with backend web frameworks such as Flask or Django
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science or computer engineering
- Experience developing embedded or real-time software systems
- Familiarity with coding agents (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development workflows
- Experience writing software for industrial automation systems, rockets, spacecrafts, robotics, or related hardware that operates with the physical world
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and iterating quickly (comfortable building the plane as we fly it)
- Willing to take ownership of tasks big and small, with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset
- Strong work ethic with a refuse-to-fail mindset
- Demonstrated indicators of excellence and/or achieving success against adversity (i.e. top academic performance, leadership in engineering clubs, first-generation college student, or other examples of resilience and achievement)
- Experience interfacing with microcontrollers, FPGA, or GPU computing hardware
- Experience working in a Linux or RTOS environment
- Strong communicator who collaborates across disciplines and proactively seeks support when needed
