Platform Engineer

Frends is growing and as a result, we're now looking to strengthen our Platform Operations team by hiring a Platform Engineer to work with the FrendseiPaaSproduct organization.

Platform Operations team is responsiblefor the management and development of the Frends operational environments and the Frends eiPaaSTenant life-cycle.

Your daily work tasks include:Provisioning, deployment and updating Frends eiPaaSTenants
Monitoring and ensuring system availability and reliability
Maintenance and optimization of Platform components
Incident Management and resolution
Development of Cloud/Hybrid Infrastructure and Operations
Development of deployment workflows, tooling and automation
Development of product packaging and technical documentation

You will become part of a core team of four people, where work will be divided according to each team member's expertise and interests. In addition to the core team, the work is carried out closely withinternal stakeholders and the Frends R&D team.

We expect:Working knowledge of virtualized or cloud infrastructure (VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and a proficiency in at least one.
Working knowledge of Containers/Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
Proficiency in some scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, Python) and Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, Ansible)
Proficient in creating and maintaining technical documentation
A problem-solving mindset with an ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
Ability to work independently in fast-paced environment
A motivation to learn and develop your skills
Good communication skills

Nice to have:

Familiarity with any of the following technologies:Web hosting (IIS, Kestrel, NGINX, Apache)
Messaging Services (Azure Service Bus, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
Database (MS SQL, Postgres, SQLite, MySQL)
Object Storage (Azure Storage, S3 Object Storage, MinIO)
Observability/Monitoring (Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Telegraf, ELK Stack)
