Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration and Linux system management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, monitoring, performance optimization, and support of Oracle database environments, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of business-critical systems. The role requires hands-on experience with Oracle 12c/19c databases, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, database monitoring, and Linux administration in enterprise production environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Oracle Database Administration :

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle 12c/19c databases.

- Perform database upgrades, patching, migration, and lifecycle management activities.

- Manage database security, user access, roles, and privileges in accordance with organizational standards.

- Monitor database health, availability, performance, and capacity utilization.

- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions using RMAN.

- Diagnose and resolve database incidents, performance issues, and system failures.

- Support and maintain High Availability (HA) solutions, including Oracle Data Guard and ASM.

- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal database performance and stability.

Performance Tuning & Optimization :

- Perform database and SQL performance tuning to optimize system efficiency.

- Analyze AWR, ASH, and ADDM reports to identify performance bottlenecks.

- Optimize SQL execution plans, indexing strategies, and database configurations.

- Recommend and implement performance improvement initiatives.

PL/SQL Development Support :

- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and triggers.

- Support application teams with database-related development and deployment activities.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards and performance best practices.

Linux Administration (RHEL 7/8) :

- Administer and support Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7/8 environments.

- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot operating system issues.

- Develop and maintain shell scripts for automation and operational efficiency.

- Perform user management, file system administration, and service management.

- Implement security hardening measures and support compliance requirements.

- Assist with application deployment and infrastructure support activities.

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, or Azure.

- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible.

- Familiarity with ITIL processes and production support environments.

Educational Qualification :

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
