Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Senior React.js & Next.js Developer with 7+ years of experience in frontend development and strong hands-on expertise in building modern, scalable, and high-performance web applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong recent experience working with React.js and Next.js and should be capable of understanding existing applications and contributing to development activities with minimal ramp-up time.

The candidate will work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality web applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and Next.js.

- Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable frontend components.

- Work on existing React.js/Next.js applications and quickly understand the existing codebase and architecture.

- Build new features and enhancements based on business and technical requirements.

- Translate UI/UX designs into responsive and interactive web applications.

- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend services.

- Implement efficient application state management and data handling.

- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, responsiveness, and reliability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex frontend issues and production defects.

- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to frontend architecture decisions.

- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

- Work closely with QA teams to ensure application quality and resolve defects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers when required.

Must-Have Skills :

- 7+ years of professional experience in frontend/software development.

- Strong hands-on experience with React.js.

- Strong hands-on experience with Next.js.

- Recent experience working on production-grade React.js and Next.js applications.

- Strong knowledge of JavaScript / ES6+.

- Good understanding of React Hooks, functional components, state management, and component lifecycle.

- Strong experience with Next.js routing, SSR, SSG, and application architecture.

- Experience building reusable and scalable UI components.

- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development.

- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.

- Good understanding of frontend performance optimization.

- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with Git/version control systems.

Next.js Expertise :

- Next.js application development and architecture.

- Server-Side Rendering (SSR).

- Static Site Generation (SSG).

- Client-side and server-side rendering concepts.

- Next.js routing and navigation.

- API integration and data fetching.

- Performance optimization using Next.js capabilities.

- Image and asset optimization.

- Authentication and authorization integration.

- Understanding of Next.js App Router and/or Pages Router.

- Building scalable and production-ready applications using Next.js.

React.js Expertise :

- Strong understanding of React component architecture.

- Functional components and React Hooks.

- State and props management.

- Context API and/or state management libraries.

- Component reusability and modular development.

- Handling asynchronous operations and API responses.

- Performance optimization and minimizing unnecessary re-renders.

- Error handling and debugging.

- Building responsive and user-friendly interfaces.

Good-to-Have Skills :

- Strong experience with TypeScript.

- Experience with Redux / Redux Toolkit / Zustand or similar state management tools.

- Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

- Knowledge of Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn, or other frontend build tools.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Understanding of web accessibility and SEO best practices.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Performance & Optimization :

- Optimize frontend applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness.

- Identify and resolve unnecessary component re-renders.

- Optimize API calls, data fetching, caching, and rendering strategies.

- Improve page load time and overall application performance.

- Apply appropriate SSR/SSG/client-side rendering strategies.

- Ensure applications perform efficiently across different browsers and devices.

Collaboration & Leadership :

- Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement pixel-perfect and responsive interfaces.

- Collaborate with backend developers for API design and integration.

- Work with QA engineers to ensure application stability and quality.

- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

- Mentor junior developers and share frontend best practices.

- Take ownership of assigned modules and deliverables.

- Communicate technical challenges, dependencies, and solutions effectively.
