Senior Software Engineer (Golang/TypeScript/React, Independent Contractor)

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you'll have the opportunity to influence technical direction, elevate engineering standards, and deliver impactful features for our clients. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and enhancing our Golang microservices and frontend applications. You'll also take full ownership of features from ideation to production, act as a key voice in technical strategy, and improve the performance and observability of our services and applications. This is a remote, independent contractor position with flexible working arrangements and a competitive benefits package.

Profil recherché

- Write performant SQL

- You should apply if you can confidently:

- Write Golang services and web app backends, and deploy them in Docker containers

- Build beautiful, componentised application frontends in React/TypeScript

- Understand clean code principles and the language idioms of TypeScript and Go, review code using these principles and establish team quality standards

- Communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical people

- Talk about how you learn and improve your skills

- Building CI/CD pipelines, especially with GitLab CI

- Applications with concurrent logic (i.e. goroutines)

- Configuring and using observability tools (e.g. Prometheus and Grafana)

- Experience utilising AI to increase productivity and efficiency of work and productionised AI tools

- MaterialUI

- Using Airflow, Python or Terraform
