Installation Electricians

We currently have two opportunities to join our team at AVRS working within the Thames & Anglian Water region (travel across both regions required)

Both roles involve site-based work, travel, and contributing to high-quality installation projects across their respective regions.

We’re growing our Electrical Installation team and are looking for skilled Installation Electricians who take pride in delivering safe, high-quality work. Working across multiple water industry sites, you’ll carry out electrical installations to a high standard, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry regulations, and AVRS Electrical Safety Rules. You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, helping maintain essential assets that keep water networks running across the UK.

What you will be doing:

• Carrying out electrical installation works to the highest safety and workmanship standards.
• Interpreting electrical drawings (SLD, BCD termination drawings) and completing installations with minimal supervision.
• Promoting and contributing to AVRS’s strong safety culture.
• Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and industry regulations.
• Coaching and supporting Electrical Improvers and Apprentices.
• Working as part of a growing, motivated team to deliver successful project outcomes.

About you:

Essential

• Strong ability to interpret electrical installation drawings.
• Relevant electrical trade qualifications.
• Industrial installation experience.
• CSCS, ECS, or CCNSG card.
• Full UK driving licence.
• High attention to detail with strong technical ability.
• A commitment to safety, quality, and doing things right first time.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
• Willingness to travel to various sites and stay away when required.
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Desirable

• SSSTS (or equivalent).
• EUSR Water Hygiene.
• Water industry experience.
• PASMA / IPAF / Confined Space certification.
• Fitness-to-work medical.
• Emergency First Aid or First Aider qualification.
