Live Stream Sales Associate (Pokemon / TCG)

Our Long Island City store serves as the heart of our community, hosting tournaments, events, and gatherings that bring players together both in person and online.

Role: A high-energy livestream host streaming on Whatnot, TikTok, and other platforms, showcasing TCG products, engaging viewers, driving conversions, and maintaining a fun, community-focused atmosphere. It combines on-camera performance, sales execution, product prep, and stream operations. This is a great opportunity for those who want to develop their live streaming skills, which is quickly becoming a highly sought-after skill set!

Schedule: Full Time

Evening: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Overnight: 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Compensation: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE

Responsibilities:

• Host engaging, high-energy live sales events through our live show/streaming platforms, showcasing and selling TCG products to a live audience.
• Create a fun, welcoming, and interactive environment that responds to viewer questions, encourages participation, and fosters community.
• Use effective sales techniques to highlight product features, build urgency for limited-time or exclusive items, and drive conversions.
• Prepare and organize all products, technical equipment, and visual displays before each stream to ensure a seamless experience.
• Track and analyze sales performance and viewer engagement metrics to improve future streams.
• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative show themes, promotions, and strategies to grow viewership and sales.
• Keep the streaming floor organized, well-supplied, and fully prepared before each shift to reduce downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Resolve or escalate technical issues (camera, mic, Whatnot listing errors) to management or tech teams.
• Maintain quality control by ensuring accurate listings, giveaways, and consistent adherence to streaming SOPs.

Requirements:

• Comfortable on camera with a charismatic, confident, and personable on-screen presence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) for data entry, inventory tracking, and reporting.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, live-selling environment.
• Physically able to lift and move boxes/products as needed.
• Ability to manage technical setup for a live stream environment, including basic troubleshooting of audio/video issues.
• The ability to work independently, starting, managing, and closing a live show with limited guidance, once trained.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player mindset.

Nice to haves:

• Prior experience or strong familiarity with the Pokémon TCG.
• Prior experience selling on Whatnot, TikTok Live, or other live shopping platforms.
• Deep knowledge of TCG trends, collectibles market, and audience preferences.
• Basic video or audio setup knowledge (lights, camera, mic, etc.).

• Strong sales performance, meeting show-specific sales targets, driven by effective product showcasing, urgency creation, and smooth pacing throughout each stream.
• Consistently high-engagement streams that keep viewers active through chat interaction, questions, and community-building.
• Accurate, organized stream prep including product setup, equipment readiness, and visually clean displays that ensure seamless shows.
• Creative contribution to show themes, promotions, and ideas that grow viewership and strengthen the livestream program.
