About this Role:

The HR Associate supports business unit clients by providing first-line support for HR issues, concerns and programs. This individual is responsible for communicating and responding to basic policy and procedure inquiries, benefits questions, and training matters. Additionally, the HR Associate will assist the HR partner team with data analysis, change management and talent management activities, organizational design and compensation initiatives, and management of projects.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide strong business unit partnership and general administrative support to the aligned HR partner teams and overall HR department.
  • Takes initiative to respond to questions from associates regarding payroll, benefits, etc. in a timely manner and resolves routine problems.
  • Support and execute employee lifecycle processes from onboarding through offboarding, ensuring accurate record management and a positive associate experience.
  • Process and maintain personnel transactions within the Workday, including hires, transfers, promotions, job changes, and terminations.
  • Maintain employment records and personnel files in accordance with company policies and applicable legal requirements.
  • Draft and maintain employment agreements, transfer letters, and other employment-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
  • Assist with associate separation processes, including exit documentation and timely completion of final settlement activities.
  • Provides employment verification support and responds to requests for employment-related documentation.
  • Processes and analyzes HR data for reporting purposes.
  • Provides project support for HR programs, initiatives, and change management activities.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in administrative/operations in Human Resources
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and the ability to apply business rules.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and sense of urgency in a services environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential documentation.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with HRIS systems preferred (Workday).
  • Strong report writing/data analysis skills and a solid understanding of HR and employee data.
  • Effective research and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a virtual team.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a strong desire to learn, with the ability to quickly acquire new skills and responsibilities.
