Job Title: Floor Plan Editor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Floor Plan Editor to create, edit, and refine floor plans using Floorfy, AutoCAD, and related design software.
• The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret drawings and translate provided information into clear and accurate floor plans.
• The ideal candidate should have a background in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field, with good understanding of architectural drawings, building layouts, dimensions, and technical plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality checks on completed floor plans before submission.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve technical or design-related issues.
• Create, edit, and update floor plans using Floorfy, AutoCAD, and other approved design software.
• Complete assigned floor plan projects accurately and within stipulated timelines.
• Review and verify room layouts, dimensions, walls, doors, windows, labels, symbols, and other architectural elements for accuracy.
• Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, sketches, measurements, and other technical documentation required for floor plan production.
• Convert provided drawings, sketches, measurements, and source materials into accurate digital floor plans.
• Make corrections and revisions to floor plans based on provided information, client requirements, and quality-control feedback.
• Identify discrepancies or missing information in drawings and source materials and escalate them for clarification where necessary.
• Maintain organised records and files for completed and ongoing projects.
• Ensure floor plans are properly formatted, labelled, scaled, and presented in line with required standards.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good understanding of floor plans, architectural drawings, blueprints, dimensions, scales, and spatial layouts.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in floor plan editing, architectural drafting, CAD drafting, or a related role.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, sketches, and measurements accurately.
• HND or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience with Floorfy is an advantage.
• Good computer and technical skills, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting/design software.
• Ability to manage assigned tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
