GE Vernova is an American energy company created in April 2024 when General Electric split into three, taking the power, wind and electrification businesses. It builds and services gas turbines that generate a substantial share of the world's electricity, onshore and offshore wind turbines, grid equipment including transformers and high-voltage transmission, and nuclear technology through GE Hitachi and its BWRX-300 small modular reactor. Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the company sits at the centre of two simultaneous demand shocks: the electrification of transport and industry, and the electricity requirements of large-scale artificial intelligence data centres.

Job Description Summary

GE Vernova is seeking a high-impact Program Director to lead the end-to-end execution of our flagship Datacenter projects across North America (Canada & US). As a key strategic driver for the Power Conversion Services (PCS) segment, you will own the profitability and financial results for a high-value portfolio (orders ranging from $1.6B to $3.5B). This is a critical leadership role that balances complex technical execution with aggressive financial performance targets, directly enabling our strategic growth and services expansion.

Reporting to the General Manager of Power Conversion and Storage, North America, this role leads a team of project managers and project delivery professionals.

  • Stakeholder & Governance Management: Act as the primary interface with hyperscalers and key developers. Manage complex governance structures, mitigate risks, and ensure total stakeholder alignment.
  • Technical & Operational Excellence: Oversee the delivery of all technical and operational work packages, ensuring strict alignment with GE Vernova’s technical and security requirements.
  • Supply Chain & Localization: Coordinate a complex, multi-country supply chain network and ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Influence & Future Growth: Partner with the Inquiry to Order (ITO) stage to influence future datacenter orders and scale PCS capabilities to meet growing market demand.
  • Team Management: Recruit and lead a high-performing team of Project Managers and support functions to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Expertise:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Background: 15+ years of progressive leadership managing complex projects, programs, or business segments in a comparably sized organization.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading complex, multi-year, multi-regional projects with large-scale budgets ($1B+).
  • Project Management Mastery: Deep understanding of professional project management methodologies and best practices for delivering major turnkey projects.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage large-scale headcounts (direct and indirect), and navigate complex cultural contexts.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong background in complex technical environments, including grid and system studies.
  • Influencing Skills: Exceptional ability to build relationships with hyperscaler clients and influence organizational strategy at the executive level.
  • Cross-Regional Experience: Proven skill in coordinating and driving cross-regional business and systems delivery across multiple factories.
