Job Description Summary
This role is primarily focused on the day-to-day design, development, and technical support of low voltage control systems for High Voltage SF6 circuit breakers. You will execute technical tasks, mentor drafting teams, and provide essential support to our customers and field teams. Additionally, you will be responsible for the daily operational management of our product configurator and data systems, ensuring that engineering logic is accurately reflected in our SAP environment and that our product structures remain consistent and reliable.Job Description
Key Responsibilities (Engineering Operations)
- Design & Development: Develop and design low voltage control systems for SF6 insulated circuit breakers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Technical Execution: Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to identify potential improvements or modifications to existing products.
- Component Selection: Provide technical expertise in the selection of components, such as relays, sensors, and controllers, to optimize system performance.
- Drafting Support & Mentorship: Guide the drafting team, providing technical direction to produce high-quality mechanical outline drawings and documentation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with remote factory teams and internal/external stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Technical Support: Serve as a technical resource for customers and field service teams, addressing inquiries and troubleshooting operational issues.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs and implementations adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities (Configurator & Data Management)
- Configurator Maintenance: Manage the daily operations and maintenance of the product configurator platform. Translate engineering constraints and product variants into functional configuration rules.
- BOM Administration: Execute the day-to-day management and validation of production Bills of Materials (BOMs) and material masters in SAP to ensure production-ready structures.
- Operational Support: Serve as the first line of support for configurator-related issues, ensuring consistent data architecture and traceability across the product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in product design, BOM management, manufacturing processes, and project management.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SAP (BOMs, material masters) and experience with product configuration tools.
Desired Characteristics
- Domain Expertise: Strong electrical engineering background with specific knowledge of high voltage and dead tank circuit breakers.
- Design Tools: CREO, AutoCAD, and E3 (or similar electrical design software).
- Data Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with SQL, Python, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for data automation is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
