We are searching for an in house PHP Web Developer. This developer will help
plan, build and maintain a variety of database driven web applications. The
candidate must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and within
a small team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with laboratory technicians, scientists, and geneticists to develop technical requirements for new features, workflows and expansions.
- Participate in all phases in the software development life cycle, with an emphasis on development, debugging, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with other Programming teams to develop APIs and utilize multiple systems to solve workflow complex problems.
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, or other field with relevant experience.
- Experience building full stack web applications
- Proficiency hand coding websites with standards compliant XHTML & CSS
- Proficiency with PHP
- Proficiency with JavaScript & jQuery & AJAX
- Proficiency with MySQL or PostgreSQL and writing complex queries by hand
- Proficiency with Linux, Shell commands, and basic SysAdmin tasks
- Proficiency with Git & Version Control
