CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER

As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will support the Chief Security Officer in the day-to-day operation, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company’s cybersecurity program. You will play a key role in protecting the organization’s data, systems, and services against cyber threats through proactive monitoring, incident response, security engineering, and administration of cybersecurity technologies.
Reporting directly to the Chief Security Officer, you will work closely with IT teams, business units, the Group Security function, and external vendors to implement security controls, support regulatory compliance requirements, investigate security events, and strengthen the company’s overall security posture.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the continuous monitoring of security and/or system events across endpoint, network, cloud, email, and identity environments.
• Perform proactive threat hunting, security investigations, and root cause analysis using security logs, telemetry, and threat intelligence.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve security controls, policies, and standards across infrastructure, cloud services, endpoints, identities, email platforms, and network environments.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize cybersecurity technologies including SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, email security, identity protection, and monitoring platforms.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Network Security, or Infrastructure Security roles.
• Hands-on experience investigating and responding to security incidents.
• Experience administering enterprise security tools such as EDR/XDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, email security, and identity protection solutions.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Experience with CrowdStrike or comparable EDR solution.
• Experience with the Microsoft security stack (incl. Purview, EntraID, and Defender).
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise firewalls, including security policies, access control rules, NAT, VPN configuration, troubleshooting, and change management.
NICE TO HAVE
• Reasonable experience administering Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience working in a regulated industry (finance, insurance).
• Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CEH, OSCP, Security+, or vendor-specific tool certifications).
