Summary
- A Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Project Manager oversees restaurant construction, remodels, and brand expansion projects from planning to handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project schedules, work breakdown structures, and milestone timelines for store builds or renovations.
- Budget & Cost Control: Prepare and manage capital expenditure budgets, track project expenses, review contractor invoices, and prevent cost overruns.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Hire, supervise, and coordinate general contractors, architects, engineers, sign makers, and equipment suppliers.
- Permitting & Compliance: Secure local building permits, health department approvals, zoning variances, and sign permits, ensuring compliance with local codes and brand guidelines.
- Site Supervision: Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction quality, track daily progress, and resolve technical or logistical roadblocks.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates to executive leadership, operations teams, and franchisees on project status, risks, and budget forecasts.
