Junior Legal Counsel

About the role

You will provide day-to-day legal support to the company’s operations across multiple jurisdictions and diverse products and mobile apps portfolio. You will be responsible for real ongoing matters from the beginning working under supervision of our Head of Legal. The scope and complexity of tasks can be determined by your engagement and professional interests.

How will your typical work day look like

Hybrid workmode with possibility to negotiate your working hours.

Ongoing online communication with Legal Lead and CEO regarding current tasks and projects. You will also work closely with management, product development and customer support teams, as well as external legal providers, advisers.

Working with legal tasks in diverse areas depending on the Team's projects.

Core areas

• Contract law: run day-to-day contractual cycle, draft, review, negotiate, record and track various types of agreements in various jurisdictions (service agreements, publishing IPR assignment, license agreements, NDA, PSPs, marketing, etc)

• Product: Maintaining public legal documentation across various projects and apps (Terms&Conditions, EULA, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy etc).

• IPR: Protecting and maintaining the company's intellectual property rights: drafting IP assignment agreements, registering and managing trademarks and domain names, conducting open-source compliance due diligence, and handling infringement claims and enforcement actions.

• Corporate: registration and maintaining companies in various jurisdictions.

• LDD, AML/KYB: Responding to various legal, regulatory due-diligence and onboarding questionnaires and requests of information regarding the company's projects and activities.

• Regulatory: monitor legislative and regulatory developments in the applicable jurisdictions (US, EU) and transform them into summaries and concrete internal recommendations.

• Compliance: Supporting the company's compliance framework: policies, advertising and marketing compliance, subscription/billing regulations.

• Data Protection: ensuring compliance with personal data protection legislation (including GDPR requirements when dealing with EU users and CCPA/CPRA requirements when dealing with US users);

• Office in Belarus: you will engage as a lawyer of the company in Belarus, ensuring compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Belarus and HTP requirements, and liaising with the HTP Administration, representation of the company's interests in government bodies and other authorities.

What do we expect:

Degree in law

3+ years of experience in a reputable law firm and/or inhouse legal department

Fluent English (B2+): though the Team communicates in Russian, English is our working language for the vast majority of day-to-day tasks, documents and external communication and calls.

Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex legal things in plain language and finding reasonable and effective solutions.

Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility without excessive supervision.

Adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality obligations.

Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI tools and its usage in legal work.
