Supply Chain Graduate Programme (2027 Intake)

Programme Duration & Start Date

This is a 2-year rotational Graduate Programme commencing in September 2027.

The programme is designed for students who will complete their degree prior to September 2027, as well as recent graduates who completed their studies no more than 12 months before the programme start date.

Please note: This opportunity is based at Gilead's Carrigtwohill manufacturing facility in County Cork, Ireland. Applicants must be currently residing in County Cork or willing to relocate to County Cork prior to the programme start date. Candidates not located in County Cork at the time of hire will not be considered.

The Opportunity

We are seeking ambitious, motivated, and highly engaged graduates to join our Supply Chain Graduate Programme at our Carrigtwohill site in Cork.

This structured 2-year rotational programme offers an outstanding opportunity to build a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain operations within a world-class manufacturing environment.

Throughout the programme, graduates will rotate through key Supply Chain functions, gaining broad exposure to planning, purchasing, labelling operations, inventory management, and supply chain project activities. The programme is designed to develop both technical and business skills through hands-on experience, mentorship, and structured development.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals while contributing to the supply and delivery of life-changing medicines to patients around the world.

About the Supply Chain Function

The Supply Chain function at Gilead Sciences Ireland Manufacturing encompasses several critical business areas, including:

  • Supply Planning

  • Production Planning

  • Purchasing

  • Materials Requirement Planning (MRP)

  • Inventory Management

  • Master Data Management

  • Label Operations

  • Warehousing

As part of the programme, graduates will rotate through key areas including Planning, Purchasing, and Label Operations, gaining valuable exposure to end-to-end supply chain activities within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Inventory Management

  • Support activities related to the planning and purchasing of raw materials and consumables to ensure availability of the right materials at the right time.

  • Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels while balancing business requirements, warehouse capacity, and inventory targets.

  • Support the continuous flow of materials through the supply chain to minimise disruption and avoid excess inventory or material scrap.

  • Participate in inventory analysis, planning activities, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Contribute to Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) activities and supply planning processes.

Label Operations

  • Support artwork update projects and product launch activities to ensure key milestones and launch dates are achieved.

  • Assist with the coordination and management of label changes and documentation updates.

  • Gain exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements related to product labelling.

Project & Operational Support

  • Support Supply Chain and cross-functional project activities.

  • Assist with project coordination tasks and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support the creation and management of:

    • Change Controls

    • Deviations

    • CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions)

    • Change Assessments

    • SOP Creation and Updates

  • Participate in process improvement projects that drive operational efficiency across the Supply Chain organisation.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for this programme, candidates must:

  • Be on track to complete, or have recently completed, a Level 8 Bachelor's degree (minimum 2.1 classification).

  • Have graduated no more than 12 months prior to the programme start date in September 2027, or be due to graduate before joining the programme.

  • Be legally eligible to work in Ireland.

  • Be based in County Cork or willing to relocate to County Cork before the programme start date.
