Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including health & safety representatives, varied workgroups, customer representatives and sub-contractors including deployment of stakeholder management plan.

• Achieving and maintaining compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011 and relevant jurisdictional requirements.

• Conduct various types of health and safety assessments, including risk assessments, job safety analysis, ergonomic assessments, manual handling assessments and hazardous substance risk assessments.

• Partner with site leaders and managers to proactively respond to environment, health and safety issues before and as they arise, including undertaking investigations following incidents or occurrences to determine likely causes, corrective actions and improvement opportunities and control effectiveness.

• Contribute to and facilitate implementation of policies, plans, procedures and processes, including high-quality reporting and records management.

• Proactively promote and coordinate program engagement processes and initiatives to deliver the company’s Environment, Health and Safety Plan.
• Travel may be required to fulfil the requirements of this role.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
• ICAM Lead Investigator.
• Construction White Card.
• ‘C’ Class Driver's license.
• Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance as needed. Eligibility can be found at https://www.agsva.gov.au/applicants/eligibility-suitability
