What You Will Do
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern you will support engineers in the Advanced Radio Frequency (RF) Front-End Hardware organization. This role may involve supporting the development of leading-edge complex RF systems, subsystems and components, including antennas, RF circuit cards, and RF test-equipment to enable future generation technologies across RTX.
Key Responsibilities
Work with cross-functional hardware engineering teams to develop architecture solutions for airborne radar antenna arrays meeting the highest customer expectations;
Assist engineers in creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF products designs, developing prototype hardware designs and coordinating fabrication, performing hands on integration and test support for prototype hardware;
Participating in design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts;
Design and documentation support utilizing engineering tools, Adobe, and MS office suite;
Support testing of RF components, systems, and devices; and
Follow established procedures while working closely with program management and experienced engineers to ensure overall design objectives are met.
Qualifications You Must Have
Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship.
Experience with mechanical engineering concepts and hardware tools and devices
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience creating engineering drawings;
Experience with 3D CAD design;
Experience fabricating prototype designs;
Experience with harness and interconnect design;
Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written); and
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, including basic knowledge and understanding of tolerancing.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
