An exciting opportunity exists for a college intern to join our semiconductor foundry team at the Advanced Microelectronics Solutions Department (AMSD) at Raytheon in Andover, MA. AMSD develops, designs, and manufactures compound semiconductor devices, microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits, and modules for defense applications.

What You Will Do:

• Work in a cleanroom environment
• Handle GaAs and GaN wafers
• Assist with various lithography, deposition, and etch processes
• Perform and document optical microscope inspections
• Perform scanning electron microscope imaging Failure analysis and Data analysis

What You Will Learn:

• Wafer fabrication techniques such as lithography, deposition and etch processes
• Optical and scanning electron microscope imaging techniques Data analysis and trouble-shooting techniques

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
• Must have a Minimum of 30 hours of credit by the start of the internship session

Qualifications We Prefer:

• High level of intellectual curiosity
• Interest in semiconductor processing Strong academic background
• Good written and oral communication skills

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
