What You Will Do:

• Develop and implement software and database solutions to automate manual data processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Digital Technology, and Operations, to deliver innovative solutions.
• Design, deploy, and maintain software applications and hardware systems for manufacturing operations.
• Integrate hardware systems, such as industrial metrology and custom test systems, with advanced software applications.
• Document all phases of project development, including operational and maintenance procedures.
• Evaluate system performance and provide reports on return on investment (ROI) and process improvements.
• Investigate and recommend digital transformation strategies to integrate and optimize systems.
• Share in the commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering with 0-4 years of industry experience.
• Experience in software development with a focus on automating data processes.
• Proficiency in SQL or other relational database systems, including front-end development.
• Familiarity with hardware systems for data acquisition, such as industrial metrology or custom test systems.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a forward-thinking approach to digital transformation.

• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and digitization of factory environments.
• Excellent documentation skills for technical and operational purposes.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment.

This position involves technologies regulated by the Canadian government’s Controlled Goods Program and the Contract Security Program. In order to obtain the required security clearance, candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada, have resided in Canada for a minimum of five consecutive years, and meet all other program requirements. Job offers will be conditional upon candidates undergoing a successful security screening per the Controlled Goods Regulations and the Contract Security Program.

The salary range for this role is 54,000 CAD - 93,150 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. RTX offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical and dental coverage, disability benefits, a retirement savings program, and tuition assistance through RTX’s Employee Scholar Program. Eligibility for specific benefits is based on factors such as position level, employment type (e.g., temporary or permanent), and business unit, and will be discussed during the hiring process. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
