CHG Healthcare’s Data & Analytics division is looking for a Staff React Engineer to join our Data & Analytics Platform team. The Data & Analytics Platform team is modernizing CHG’s enterprise reporting and analytics experiences by migrating them to React applications hosted in Snowflake. As a Staff React Engineer on the Data & Analytics Platform team you will set architectural direction for the platform, establish the standards other engineers will follow, and raise React fluency across the entire Data & Analytics organization - serving as equal parts hands-on builder, architect, and teacher. This role will report to the Director of Data Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the core architecture of CHG’s React-based reporting platform hosted in Snowflake, setting standards for component patterns, data-fetching, state management, and performance.
• Serve as the primary technical expert on architecture, evaluating tooling and integration approaches (Snowflake-hosted apps, Snowpark, API layers) in coordination with leadership.
• Partner with data engineering, analytics engineering, and BI teams to prioritize and migrate Tableau dashboards to React.
• Mentor and train engineers, BI developers, and analysts org-wide on React through code reviews, workshops, and pair programming.
• Build and champion AI-assisted engineering tools and guardrails that help the team build faster and more consistently within platform standards

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in React, TypeScript/JavaScript, and modern front-end tooling, with strong data visualization and charting skills (D3, Recharts, Highcharts).
• Proven ability to architect front-end platforms used by multiple teams, not just individual applications.
• Skilled at explaining complex technical concepts to engineers, analysts, and non-technical stakeholders.
• Real, hands-on experience building or customizing AI-powered developer tools (AI coding assistants, custom agents/MCP integrations, internal LLM tooling).
• Strong ownership instincts and comfort operating with a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity.

Education & Experience

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years focused on React and front-end architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred

• Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse experience.
• Prior experience mentoring engineers or leading technical enablement programs.
• Experience migrating legacy BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to custom-built solutions.

We believe in fair compensation for all of our people, which is why our pay structure takes into account the cost of labor across U.S. geographic markets. For this position, we offer a pay range of $146,200 -- $282,600 annually, with pay varying depending on work location and job-related factors such as knowledge, position level and experience. CHG Healthcare offers starting salaries for sales positions in the form of total target compensation (TTC = base + commission + bonus), which includes base pay, commission, and bonuses. Sales positions receive short-term incentives through commission plans and bonuses. On the other hand, non-sales positions have starting salaries that consist of a base salary and short-term incentives through various bonus plans, which are paid out monthly, quarterly, or annually.
