Whatyou’llown

• Gains andmaintainsknowledge of how tomonitorcomplex systems and response to known and emerging threats against the Global Payments network via intrusion detection software

• Assists in detailed, comprehensive investigation of security issues by reviewing security log data, interpreting data in support of security event management process from various data feeds and triages on a wide variety of security events.

• Under close supervision performs incident handling process by gaining knowledge in implementation of containment, protection and remediation activities.

• Under close supervision designs and configures security systems, including proxy, remote access, mail gateway, intrusion prevention, wireless networking, data leak prevention, security information and event management and web application firewalls.

• Follow documented investigation playbooks, Runbooks andstandard operating procedures.

• Learn and follow security protocols to safeguard sensitive financial information.

• Stay up-to-datewith the latest cyber threats, trends, and vulnerabilities relevant to the fintech industry.

• Identifyfalse positives and escalate genuine security incidents to senior analysts.

Whatyou’llbring

• Relevant Experience or Degree in:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Info Security, or related field. Or relevant work experience in a related field.

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications are an added advantage.

• Strong interest in cybersecurity, with a focus on Security Operations Centers (SOC) and incident response, malware analysis , SIEM etc.

• Core Cybersecurity Concepts: Understandingof common attack vectors (e.g., malware, phishing, brute force) and the cyber kill chain.

• Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.

• Good knowledge of security best practices and protocols (e.g., encryption, authentication, etc.

It’sa bonus if you have

• SIEM Exposure: Academic or basic professional experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QradarEtc).

• Certifications: Entry-levelcerts like CompTIA Security+,,CEH, ISC2 CC,CiscoCyberOpsAssociate, or GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF)etc.

• Home Labs: Hands-on experience building home labs, participatingin CTFs (Catch the Flag),bugBounty,HackTheBox/TryHackMechallenges.
