Mission Analyst

Job Description:

• Perform daily orbit determination calculations and support orbit raising operations for old and new Low Earth Orbiting satellites
• Support the establishment and maintenance of the satellite constellation
• Perform orbit determination, propagation, and analysis using mathematical models
• Use AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK), including ODTK, to model, analyze, and simulate orbital trajectories
• Generate daily orbit data for satellite contacts
• Perform maneuver planning, including orbit raising and station keeping
• Support launch operations
• Provide 24/7 on-call support for troubleshooting and anomaly resolution
• Support and develop Python and MATLAB scripts to automate orbital analysis tasks
• Follow job-related instructions and perform other duties requested by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher in Aerospace, Physics or closely related field
• 5+ years of experience with satellite operations, orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, or spacecraft flight dynamics
• 5+ years of experience with general satellite knowledge that included components, mass properties, satellite attitude, propulsion systems
• Expertise with Orbit Mechanics / Dynamics, Orbit determination, Ephemeris generation, and maneuver planning
• Experience developing and maintaining STK and ODTK using Python
• Must be a U.S. person as defined by 15 C.F.R. § 772.1 (U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien, or protected individual)
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention-to-detail
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with NetSuite
• Strong problem-solving skills, especially under time constraints
• Ability to identify and seek needed information
