Key Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced and inspiring Academic Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to academic excellence, student success and continuous school improvement. As Academic Coordinator, you will play a key role in leading curriculum implementation, supporting teaching and learning, driving high academic standards and fostering a collaborative culture among staff.
Working closely with school leadership, you will help ensure an outstanding educational experience for all students. Lead the planning, development and implementation of the academic curriculum in alignment with the school's educational vision. Monitor student progress, academic performance and teaching quality to ensure high standards of learning and achievement.
Provide guidance, mentoring and professional support to teaching staff. Coordinate academic meetings, curriculum reviews and professional development initiatives. Analyse assessment and achievement data to inform improvement strategies and targeted interventions.
Promote effective teaching practices, innovation and continuous improvement across the academic programme. Collaborate with pastoral, inclusion, safeguarding and student support teams to ensure holistic student development. Support positive student engagement, wellbeing and a safe learning environment.
Build strong and effective relationships with families, supporting meaningful home-school partnerships. Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are consistently applied and that concerns are appropriately reported. Contribute actively to whole-school initiatives, strategic projects and the ongoing development of the school.
Candidate Profile University degree in Education or a relevant subject area. Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership or a related field is highly desirable. Significant teaching experience with a proven track record of delivering strong student outcomes.
Previous leadership, coordination or middle-management experience within a school environment is highly desirable. Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, student progress monitoring and school improvement processes. Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
Ability to analyse academic data and implement effective improvement strategies. Outstanding organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
