Senior Android Engineer

About the Team:

You'll be the dedicated Android engineer on TrustAll SDK, Gogolook's B2B anti-fraud SDK that enterprise clients embed into their own apps and devices. Working closely with PM, you'll shape what the SDK does and how it behaves - a large part of the job is researching Android platform capabilities and proposing features they make possible, then designing APIs clean and stable enough for external engineering teams to trust in production.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end - from requirement discussion and technical design to release and monitoring.
• Research Android platform capabilities and propose SDK features they enable, then take them from prototype to production.
• Research emerging technologies independently and land them in production.
• Diagnose and resolve complex problems - performance, stability, and hard-to-reproduce production issues.
• Surface technical risks early and help manage technical debt.
• Leverage modern toolchains (including AI assistants) to deliver high-quality code, and hold a high bar when reviewing both human- and AI-generated code.
• Work closely with PM to define SDK scope and behavior, and support client engineering teams during integration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack (including Compose), and modern Android architecture (e.g., MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Experience building SDKs or libraries consumed by external clients or partners - API design, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Strong self-learner - able to take an unfamiliar technology all the way to production.
• Strong debugging skills across app, system, and network layers.
• Open to AI-assisted development workflows - comfortable using AI tools for prototyping, test generation, code review, and root-cause analysis.
• Clear communication and collaboration in an agile team.

Bonus Skills

• Android system-level integration experience - permission models, system services, OEM/version behavior differences.
• Product mindset in a B2B context - weighs client integration cost and business impact in technical decisions.
• Context engineering: writes effective instructions for AI tools (e.g., AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, specs) so output matches team conventions.
• Experience writing developer-facing documentation or sample apps.
• Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
• CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Open-source contributions or public technical sharing.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs into product features.
