Job Role:
- Gathering requirements from Clients, Sales, Proof of Concepts (POC) and turning them into Market Requirement Documents
- Compiling functional specifications based on business requirements with consideration to data model, data management, process, business rules for various LOB.
- Continuously strive towards designing enterprise data management architecture around reference data, which can support all the LOB's.
- Defining functional test scenarios and guiding the QA teams in building test cases against these scenarios.
- Act as a functional interface between development and product managers - explaining requirements to the development group and ensuring that the product being built meets the requirement.
- Validating the test cases and ensuring that the functionality is covered by these test cases.
Recruited Skill sets:
- Practical experience in EDM on basic Instrument master data, pricing data, rating data, schedule data, corporate action and market data management
- Experience with financial markets in general and especially with the treatment of various different types of financial instruments i.e. traditional instruments (Debts, Equities, Money Market) and nontraditional (structured securities and financial derivatives) and markets
- Familiar with corporate actions and its impact on reference data
- Knowledge of terminal products of Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters or similar data vendors will be a plus
- Should have sound understanding of the software development life cycle
- Intermediate SQL working knowledge (or needs to acquire before joining)
- Capable of formally specifying SW requirements/behaviors using standard SW Specification methods (preferably UML)
